My daughter is obsessed with the surprising facts about waste—she keeps reading out loud how much plastic we actually throw away. It's made her actually want to sort the recycling at home, which I never thought would happen.

I was pleasantly surprised by how much ground this book covers for its size — the section on renewable energy actually got my daughter asking questions about solar panels at dinner. It's a touch dense in places for a younger reader, but for a curious 10-year-old it's pitched just right.

Bought this for my 8-year-old nephew and he actually put down his tablet to read it. The breakdown of renewable energy is clear without being too preachy. Only wish it had a few more hands-on project ideas.
