Matthew ★★★★★

The illustrations are so vivid they pull you right into the landscape, and Aunty Joy’s storytelling voice makes you feel genuinely welcomed to Country. My kids asked me to read it three times in a row the first night.

Violet ★★★★★

I bought this as a gift for a friend who loves learning about local Indigenous culture, and the storytelling by Aunty Joy is so warm and authentic. The illustrations are gorgeous, and it’s a perfect introduction to Wurundjeri country for all ages.

Penelope V. ★★★☆☆

The storytelling voice is warm and authentic, which I appreciated, but the book felt shorter than I expected for the price. It's a lovely introduction for kids to learn about Wurundjeri culture, though I wish there were a few more pages of detail.
