My 7-year-old kept asking to read it again the moment we finished. The way it gently explains that every brain works differently, without being preachy, really opened up a conversation about how his classmates think.

I was a little worried this book might be too clinical, but the way it shows the mother and son exploring different brains together made it feel so warm and relatable. My son actually asked to read it again right after we finished, and he loved pointing out the different ways brains can work.

My 6-year-old, who usually squirms through storytime, actually sat still for the whole thing—the way it describes a "fast brain" really clicked for him. Only wish the ending had a little more concrete advice for kids, but the message is beautiful.
