Avery O. ★★★★★

The repetitive text is perfect for my 3-year-old, who now "reads" it to me with great drama. The suspense builds perfectly with each page turn.

Matthew ★★★★★

My toddler demands this book every single night and still gasps at the page where the fox's nose appears. The repetitive text makes it so easy for her to "read along" with me, and she loves pointing out each animal as they ignore Hattie.

Thomas ★★★★☆

This is a lovely read-aloud for little ones, and the repetition in Hattie's warnings really gets them joining in. The suspense builds nicely, though I wish the ending played out just a bit longer.
