Andrew ★★★★★

My kid giggles every time we hit the part about the wildebeest's "lovely grin" — the rhyme is punchy enough to keep a wiggly toddler engaged. We've read it five times tonight and I'm not even mad.

Ella ★★★★★

The rhyming text is spot-on for bedtime, and my daughter adores pointing out the marabou stork's strange wattle. It's become our new favorite read.

John C. ★★★★★

My three-year-old loves chanting along with the wildebeest and hyena verses, and the rhyming really brings the African animals to life. It's been a joy to read something that celebrates uniqueness instead of the usual cute creatures.
