My son read this twice in one sitting and kept giggling at Jack’s panic over his spelling test. The short chapter format is perfect for new readers building confidence. He’s already asking for the next one in the series.

Perfect for easing test anxiety — my daughter read it twice the first day because she could relate so much to Jack's spelling worries. The chapters are short enough to finish one before bed.

My son is a reluctant reader, but he devoured this first chapter book in one sitting. The worry about the spelling test felt so real to him, and it sparked a great conversation about not leaving practice to the last minute.
