Taronga: We Gaan Naar de Dierentuin

The illustrations of the giraffes are so detailed and lifelike, my kindergartener wanted to point out every spot. We’ve already read it three times tonight, and the animal facts keep her asking questions.

My toddler was captivated by the playful chimpanzees page and now asks to read it every night, even pointing out the giraffes in the illustrations. The mix of facts with the vibrant pictures made learning feel like an adventure for both of us.

The chimp pages are my kid's favorite—he laughs every time we read them. It's a nice mix of fun pictures and little facts that don't feel like a lesson. Wish it had a bit more depth on the animals, but for a quick bedtime read it works well.
