Ik ben mens

This book has become a nightly favorite with my kids—the way it talks about making good choices really opens up conversations. The hopeful tone makes even the tough parts of being human feel manageable. I've already ordered another from the series.

My kid related to the part about making mistakes, which led to a good conversation about empathy. The illustrations are thoughtful and match the gentle tone of the words. It's a solid addition to the series.

I was pleasantly surprised by how this book tackles tough emotions without feeling preachy—the chapter on empathy really resonated with me. It’s a quick read, but the insights on making good choices have stuck with me for days. Only wish it had a bit more depth in some sections.
