함께 걸어요: 컨트리에 오신 것을 환영합니다

My kid asked to read it three times in a row, which is the highest praise I can give. The way the story ties a simple walk to acknowledging Country feels both gentle and profoundly educational.

I’d never seen a children’s book weave a walking song into the story before, and my little one now wants to “awaken the ancestors” on every walk we take. The simple back-and-forth between Harvey and Mum makes it easy to join in and learn about Country together.

The way Harvey and Mum sing to awaken the ancestors on their walk made this book special for my kids, who now ask to do the same on our local trails. It’s a gentle, meaningful way to start learning about the First Nations Country beneath our feet.
