The illustrations are bright and fun, but it’s the message that really lands—my daughter now proudly tells me she can be "a loud girl" without apologizing. It’s rare to find a picture book that feels this empowering without being preachy.

My niece kept asking to read it every night, and I love how it celebrates messy hair and loud voices instead of princess perfection. The paperback is sturdy enough for little hands to flip through on their own.

The illustrations are warm and the message about letting kids define themselves really landed with my six-year-old. She asked me to read it twice in one sitting, which never happens. A lovely book for any family library.
