I bought this for my nephew and ended up reading it myself before wrapping it. The way the grandmother draws attention to the small wonders during that bus ride is such a gentle lesson for both kids and adults. The story feels like it was written to be read aloud.

My grandmother read this to me as a child, and now I'm reading it to my own kids — the story's gentle way of showing beauty in a bus ride still hits just as hard. The pages have a nice weight to them, perfect for little hands to hold during story time.

Picked this up for my kid's bedtime reading, and the grandmother's line about "seeing with your heart" hit me harder than I expected. The bus ride descriptions are so vivid you can almost feel the city moving around them.
