星が輝くとき

My daughter is terrified of the dark, but the way Lily's mom points out the constellations turned our bedtime into a stargazing ritual. Having it written by a real astronomer gives the night sky facts a weight I didn't expect from a picture book, and the illustrations make the stars feel almost magi

My daughter still has some trouble at bedtime, but the way Lily's mom explains constellations made her stop and point at the stars in our own yard. The story flows well enough, though the pacing drags just a little in the middle.

The illustrations of the night sky are absolutely gorgeous, and the gentle way Lily’s mom teaches her about constellations feels very natural. I just wish the book was a bit longer to explore more of the science.
