My kid asked to read it three times in a row, which is the highest praise I can give. The way the story ties a simple walk to acknowledging Country feels both gentle and profoundly educational.

I’d never seen a children’s book weave a walking song into the story before, and my little one now wants to “awaken the ancestors” on every walk we take. The simple back-and-forth between Harvey and Mum makes it easy to join in and learn about Country together.
