The hand-sanded surface gives it a wonderfully smooth, tactile quality that my kids gravitate toward immediately. It’s clearly built to last through years of imaginative play, and the subtle organic oil finish lets the wood grain shine without any plasticky sheen.

I was worried the organic oil finish would leave it sticky, but it's actually silky smooth to the touch. The hand-sanding gives the stag's antlers a lovely subtle texture that catches the light.

The grain of the wood really shows through the oil finish, which feels nice and natural. My only tiny wish is that the antlers were a bit more detailed, but the smooth shape is still lovely for little hands.
