ヘッジホッグ・ザ・ワンダードッグ

My six-year-old asked to read it three nights in a row, and each time she noticed a new detail in the illustrations that sparked a different conversation about feelings. The soft, warm colors in the hospital scenes made a tough subject feel gentle and safe.

This book really captured the way my nephew felt during his hospital stays, the therapy dog scenes felt so real and comforting. He asked me to read it three times in a row, which says everything about how much it connected with him.

The illustrations are beautiful and capture the hospital setting well, but the story felt a bit too short and didn't explore the dog's therapy work in enough depth for my older child. It held my younger one's attention, though.
