The organic oil finish smells faintly woodsy up close, which feels more natural than the plasticky sheen on most toys. My toddler grabbed it immediately and has been carrying it around all week—the wood is smooth enough for little hands, no splinters at all.

The hand-sanding gives this little donkey a beautifully smooth texture, and the shape is perfectly balanced for small hands. It's a solid, charming toy, though the price feels a bit steep for a single figure.

The organic oil finish has a nice soft sheen that feels more natural than varnished toys. Would have liked a slightly more playful expression on the donkey's face, but the hand-sanded wood is wonderfully smooth.
